Herald & News Wins Environmental Award

The Klamath Falls, OR, Herald and News was awarded the 2008 Dolly Connelly Award for Excellence in Environmental Journalism for it's "Watermarks", a series of four special sections covering the history of water use in the Klamath Basin.

The tenth annual awards were held on Thursday, September 8th in Portland, OR. It is endowed by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer columnist Joel Connelly in honor of his late mother, Dolly Connelly, who was a freelance reporter focussing on the Northwest's environmental movement.

Congratulations to publisher Heidi Wright and the rest of the newsroom for this outstanding accomplishment.
